Why we started the OWN project
Too many women are told their experience is “normal” when it’s not. That painful periods are par for the course. That painful pregnancy symptoms are just part of pregnancy. That leaking is now “part of motherhood.” That they simply have to “tough it out.” That “nothing can be done” about menopause symptoms.
We’re here to change that.
Founded by a team of women’s health experts and wellness providers, The OWN Project was born from a deep desire to increase access to care that is often overlooked or financially out of reach. We believe your body deserves expert support, and your wellness should never be a luxury.
We believe that optimal pelvic health is the foundation of overall wellness and directly contributes to quality of life. Insurance-based systems have long waitlists, short appointment times, and are limited in the type of care they can provide. Our clinic partners are pelvic health specialists who provide hour-long, holistic pelvic healthcare to get to the root of symptoms and improve quality of life.
Through financial assistance, education, and community programming, we’re shifting the culture around women’s health - one story, one family, one phase of life at a time.

Our logo blends the symbolism of moon phases and growing vines: a reflection of what we believe represents a journey toward wellness.
The moon represents the feminine, intuition, and constant evolution. Just like the body, it moves through phases - none better or worse than the other, just different. We chose it to honor the cyclical, ever-changing nature of health, healing, and life itself.
The vine + leaves symbolize growth, nourishment, and abundance. Healing doesn’t always look linear, but with the right support, it can root deeply and flourish. The natural imagery speaks to our belief in restoration, community care, and sustainable wellness for all.
OWN stands for Optimal Wellness & Nourishment: our focus on proactive, preventative care, and treating individuals holistically goes beyond basic healthcare to ensure improved quality of life long-term.
Together, the elements in our logo reflect our mission: to support people through every phase of life with compassionate, evidence-informed care, and to make sure no one walks that path alone.
